'Big' day for Manchester!

Though I am a Chelsea fan, but today is absolutely a massive day for Manchester. Both Man U & Man City won the Premier League for 19th time and FA cup respectively~
For Man U, they have surpassed the record held by Liverpool of 18th league title, and for Man City, their huge investment started to paid off! Well, we're looking forward for next season, as it getting tougher and tougher. Believe me! For Chelsea FC, its the 3rd season post-Abramovich era trophyLESS.

The Fantastic 2nd week

People say that the time pass so fast. In a blink of an eye my holiday almost over. Today is Friday. Just wanna freshen my mind of what I've been doing in my 2nd week of holiday;

last Friday- cycle to Masjid with bicycle. I think the distance is more far as compared from my hostel in Melaka to Masjid al Azim-the mosque where I usually pray in Melaka. Then I packed some stuff to be brought back to Penang. As Ayah and Ibu returned back from KL, in the evening we went for an early dinner at Secret Recipe plus enjoying eating the cakes there too.

Saturday- Went back to see my Tok and Wan (of my father's side). 'Tok' is meant for 'grandma' and 'Wan' is meant for 'grandpa'. The word nenek/ tok nek is usually meant for the 'great grandma'. As for the 'great grandpa' for this time being, just assume as KIV. I drove all the way from Manjung to Penang. Before we (me, ayah and ibu) arrived there we stopped by to buy Ikan Bawal for lunch. The meal was superb and also cheap. Nothing much has been done on the day itself after arriving there other than chatting with Tok, but at night we (+ Wan) went to Nasi Kandar Beratur. Fullamak, panjang giler orang beratur dekat situ~. The food was marvellous and I give it 9/10.

Sunday- Had breakfast at Acik Mus House and makan Bihun wit roti canai. After that, me ibu ayah wan and tok went to TAnjung Dawai and bought some ikan masin

~Returned back to Seri Manjung, and well managed to watch Liverpool vs Man U with Astro Beyond HD! Wow. The good news was Man U was defeated that night and that gave an advantage to Chelsea! Hooray!!!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday- Basically I enjoyed it by playing Mahjog with My mom- quite addicted playing it. Sometimes my mom won the game, but almost all the time, it was me! haha...At night I had the symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy- reversed sleep pattern just to watch the Uefa Champions League- Barcelona Vs Arsenal (Barca won 3-1) & Tottenham Vs Ac Milan-Spurs won via away goal rule.

Friday- I helped my neighbour preparing what is necessary for the daughter's wedding. The Akad Nikah is today itself whereas the wedding ceremony will be tomorrow.

Saturday- 12.30a.m I went to fetch Syahmi at Manjung Bus Station who was just arrived from Seremban. I made a mini birthday celebration for him as both ayah and ibu already asleep.
Today got kenduri kawen at rumah Jiran. Auntie Noor's daughter is married with a guy from Kedah. In the afternoon, me, syahmi, ibu and ayah went to Damansara Damai...

Sunday- Sob2...a very sad day...my holiday is over already..huhu...Drove back all da way to Melaka with AEN 5454...

Home Alone

Home Alone...
As usual, I began my day with a morning jog, followed by shopping some groceries at TESCO Seri Manjung. Nothing much happen during the day time, but the night was marvellous. I watched Perak Vs Harimau Muda via Astro Arena Channel 801 with both team held in a 1-1 draw match thanx to a last-minute free kick goal scored by the Perak left back. The Young Tiger played a very high tempo game, resulting Perak was shocked and outplayed in the 1st half. But the Perak game was much better in the 2d half.
After the game ended, I watched WWE until 12.30...

Wednesday morning started as early as 3.30a.m to watch Chelsea vs Man U. The game was very interesting as Chelsea came from behind to win the match thanx to the equalizing goal scored by Chelsea new boy, David Luiz (although he might be sent off that night) and a penalty scored by (who else?) Frank Lampard. Man U scored a first half goal by Wayne Rooney-his 7th of the campaign. The most interesting part was, I watched it with Astro Beyond HD via 54' LED TV. That's superb!!! Its been a long time that I haven't enjoyed watching football. Yeah!! After performing the subuh prayers, I slept until 12noon. In the evening, I went for jogging and double the amount that I usually did ( because I didn't jog in the morning). At night I watched RED> Retired Extremely Dangerous casting Bruce Wills as the the main actor and it was a very good movie and worth watching.

Thursday, began with -I cooked spaghetti for my breakfast. Initially it was not that good, but after a proper modification of the meal itself, it became marvellous. Yummy!!! Actually I wanna go for jogging but, it seem to be raining, so I cancelled my jogging. Later I watched the movie The Lost Future~ quite an average movie. Facebooking, watching TVs and checking the mails. Alhamdulillah, JPA has credited my allowances into my account. In the evening, I jogged for 10 rounds!!! Wowo...quite A LOT!!! I ate dinner with the spaghetti that I cooked in the morning and currently I am writing this blog..hehe...the holiday goes on and on~

2 weeks of holiday meant alot to me...but for sure I will miss 'her' for 2 weeks also..sok sok..My holiday began cannot become any better than playing in a Futsal Tournament with my team dubbed the Coolblog FC. I wonder who gave the name to this team. Tourament held in Kolej Ibn Sina, University Malaya. Our team managed to win all the preliminary round group matches only to suffer heart break defeat at quarter final. After scoring 20 goals and conceding 8, we all went back in frustration.

I stayed at Damansara Damai for a day.On Sunday my sis and me went to Saujana Putra to settle her 'housing' stuffs. Pity her that her Sony handphone was lost during the process. An indication for a brand new I-phone/ Blackberry. Later I went back to Seri Manjung with bus. My sis sent me to Hentian Duta, only to miss my yummy waffle at the very last minute as the bus ready to push off.

I safely arrived at the Seri Manjung Bus Station with my parents already waited there. After performing the Asar prayers, we went to Pasar Malam for dinner. Me ate Maggie goreng and ayam percik~ Hehe...nyum2..

Monday started with my mom waking me up at 7 a.m...Guess what? Its jogging time!! I managed 6 rounds this morning and then we went to KWSP together due to some banking stuff. We cooked lunch together and played Mahjong via I-Pad together! Me win a couples and lost a lot!!! Monday ends with me writing this blog and both my parents went to KL..Home Alone~

The course of the upper part of the popliteal artery is indicated by a line from the lateral margin of Semimembranosus at the junction of the middle and lower thirds of the thigh, obliquely downward to the middle of the popliteal fossa; from this point it runs vertically downward for about 2.5 cm. or to the level of a line through the lower part of the tibial tuberosity

Witnessing 'DEATH"

Innalillah Wa Inna Ilaihi Raajiuun...

Yesterday 21/2/2011 was the 1st time in my life I saw and experiencing a man who is dying.
B4 that, in the morning as usual I was clerking a patient who was beside his bed. That time I could see he was in an intolerable state of breathelessness. Though his wife was there with him, but the pain that he was suffering cannot be described with words. An immediate lesson that I gained that time was, breathlessness can range from very mild to the one that the pak cik was suffering.

After having a Cardiovascular class with Dr Sushil under the topic of ACS-Acute Coronary Syndrome, as I was walking back (returning to hostel), I could saw the same Mak Cik (the wife of the suffering Pak Cik) crying. At that point of time, I didn't have the 'guts' to walk and go back from the hospital. There, inside an intensive room, I saw the MOs, HOs were struggling to resussitate the Pak Cik. Drugs such as Adrenaline, Dobutamine have been used.They countered the acidosis with Sodium Bicarbonate Infusion and CPR was also done. That time I was standing at a corner and felt so hopeless. Even the student nurse also was doing something to help that old man, and what is my contribution as a Medical Student? Nothing. I was a hopeless 'amoeba'. That old man was dying.

Suddenly I heard the MO incharge shouted at me- "Hey Medical Student, wear your glove and mask, come here and do CPR! Hurry!" At that time, I was so surprised and cannot believe that something I could do and contribute. Quickly I rushed off and those things and jumped on the bed and performed the CPR. Slowly, I told the Pak Cik to recite the Holy Sermon " La Ilaha Illa Allah"

Pupillary reflex was absent as I checked his eye. His BP continued to drop inspite the ionotropic agents that was given earlier. His pulse was irregularly irregular possibility of ventricular fibrillation. His extremities started to feel cold. The doctor sent a form to the Mak Cik to be signed. It indicated that 'the time' has came for the Pak Cik to meet his God, our God, The Empire of The Universe. I went and met the Mak Cik and told her to be brave, patience, stay strong and reminded her that all of us came from Allah al-Mighty, and to Him also, we shall return. I gave a kiss to the Pak Cik's forehead and walked out from the ward. I knew that, one day, we shall meet again, but for surely, in another world, World Of Justice.

Life has to move on. But definitely there will be a time, that its our turn. Maybe now, next 2 minutes, next week or next year.An 'Alim' person had told me that the interval between life and death is as same as the duration between the Azan and Iqamah.

Before I end, let us together recite the Ummul Kitab Al Fatihah, for those who have past away before us and all the Muslimin Muslimat, Mukminin Mukminat entirely.

MasyaAllah...Egyptians' Victory!!!

I am pretty sure that all of us knew that Husni Mubarak's regime has been teared into pieces. But I'm not sure whether most of us knew that Syeikh Yusuf Qaradhawi has returned to his homeland for the 1st time in 30 years! What a massive reception for him! He lead the Friday(18/2/2011) prayers as well reciting the Friday sermon(khutbah)! Nearly 2 millions of Muslims were there at the Tahrir Square! MASYAALLAH!!! ALLAHUAKBAR!!!

Perak FA & Hamburg SV

As many people know that I am a fanatic fan of Perak FA, just wanna share something intresting here...Just now, as I was surfing the internet, I just realized that there is ONE similarity between these 2 clubs...BOTH OF THEM HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEGATED!!!
It means, since the inception of the Malaysia Football League-previously known as Liga Perdana Malaysia, now Liga Super Malaysia/Malaysia Super League, Perak FA has never been relegated! Congratz!!!
The same happen to Hamburg SV, there have never been relagated from the top-tier of the German Football- currently known as 'Bundesliga'. Credit to them also!
I wonder how top Giants teams like Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, and Schalke 04 have 'tasted' relegation???

Aortic Regurgitation

Sometime, I use this 'fancy' word --> aortic 'regurge'

Clinical signs include;

* Hyperdynamic apical impulse displaced laterally and inferiorly may be associated with an ejection click.
* Decrescendo diastolic murmur is heard best while the patient is leaning forward on deep expiration.
* Apical middiastolic rumble
* Austin-Flint murmur
* Pulsus bisferiens; increased pulse pressure; visible, forceful, and bounding peripheral pulses (water hammer)
* Corrigan pulse - Quickly collapsing pulses
* Corrigan sign- dancing carotids,prominent carotid pulsation in the neck
* Musset sign - Bobbing/nodding of the head with each systolic pulsation
* Quincke sign - Capillary pulsations of the nail bed (alternate flushing and blanching of the nail bed)
* Hill sign - Systolic pressure in lower extremity greater than systolic pressure in upper extremity by at least 100 mm Hg
* Traube/ Pistol shot sign - Loud systolic sound over femoral arteries
* Duroziez sign - Systolic-diastolic murmur produced by compression of femoral artery with a stethoscope

Usually all these sign can be appreciated in chronic cases.

Horner's Syndrome

Horner's syndrome or Horner syndrome is a clinical syndrome caused by damage to the sympathetic nervous system.
A classiccal triad of;
1. miosis (ie, constricted pupil)
2. partial ptosis(which is drooping of the upper eyelid from loss of sympathetic innervation to the superior tarsal muscle, also known as Müller's muscle) and
3. loss of hemifacial sweating (anhidrosis)

others->Enophthalmos (the impression that the eye is sunk in) loss of ciliospinal reflex and bloodshot conjunctiva may occur depending on the site of lesion

The clinical features of Horner's syndrome can be remembered using the mnemonic, "Horny PAMELa" for Ptosis, Anhidrosis, Miosis, Enophthalmos and Loss of ciliospinal reflex.

Usually examiner will ask, the relationship between Horner Syndrome & Bronchogenic Carcinomo of the apex of lung.
Bronchogenic Carcinomo of the apex of lung (aka Pancoast Tumor-mostly a non small cell cancer)-->Sympathetic Ganglion Compression in the cervical region--> Horner Syndrome

Jugular Venous Pressure ( JVP)

The jugular venous pressure (JVP, sometimes referred to as jugular venous pulse) is the indirectly observed pressure over the venous system. It can be useful in the differentiation of different forms of heart and lung disease. Classically three upward deflections and two downward deflections have been described.

The upward deflections are;
- "a" (atrial contraction)
- "c" (ventricular contraction and resulting bulging of tricuspid into the right atrium during isovolumic systole) and
-"v"= atrial venous filling

The downward deflections of the wave are;
-"x"(the atrium relaxes and the tricuspid valve moves downward) during early right ventricular systole
-"y" descent (filling of ventricle after tricuspid opening)

In Exam, all the above will be asked, as they are the basics that all medical student should now, and after succeding in answering them, this they (the examiner) might asked;

# Large 'a' wave (increased atrial contraction pressure)

* tricuspid &/ pulmunory stenosis
* Right heart failure/ Right vntricular hypertrophy
* Pulmonary hypertension

# Cannon 'a' wave (atria contracting against closed tricuspid valve)

Dream Car ( As for now~)

When I was playing futsal with my teammates (usually, there will be Arif, Abbas, Dinbo & the others- we usually play at Cheng Sport Planet) something that always attract me beside the talents that the futsal players already have in them (such as Arif~) is nothing but CARS (berlambak parking dekat futsal court)!...

Logically thinking, people who play futsal usually fall under medial to upper class group in Malaysia. There I could see them using from 'Protons'(which include all models of Proton) & 'Produas'(mostly Kancil and MyV) to cars like Toyota Vios, Honda City, and if I am lucky enough; Toyota Corolla Altis & Honda Civic. Very hard to see Mercedes, BMW (old BMW ada laa), and all the upper class cars.

Suppose I am working with 'sufficient' income, these are my preference;
1. Peugeot 308- The lowest price; RM 100k on the road!

2. Mitsubishi Lancer- around RM120k OTR!

3. Toyota Vios the lowest price is around RM 72k OTR...(My last choice as it is the cheapest among the 3 and being manufactured by Toyota)

Trigger Finger

What is trigger finger?? The word trigger finger may be taken from the action of a policeman (most likely) pulls the trigger of a gun.
It is also known as-(by right its scientific name is) Stenosing tenosynovitis. It is an inability to extend a flexed finger. It occurs when one of the flexor tendons does not slide smoothly through the pulleys at the metacapophalangeal joint. Patients will present with a flexed finger that must be forcibly extended using the other hand.

'Healthy' Lifestyle

'Healthy' is a subjective thing. WHO define the word 'health' as; a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
Eventhough that it looks like a complete definition, but still a lots of people argue about it. As I mention before, it is kind of abstract and subjective and vary from one individual to another. From 'A' point of view, health is like 'this', but 'B' might not agree with 'A'!
Alhamdulillah, it has been a year since I have completed my GM 'regime' diet (You can search it from my previous post). Initially I thought that it was difficult to reduce weight, but after I achieved a total of near 35kg of weight loss, some of the people said that it was even harder to maintain it!!!( Wow, that's another task!)
Ok, in this post, I would like to congratulate my self for being success to maintain my weight in a year duration.

These what I have done:
1. I had my own exercise timetable. I have set up targetted amount of work up for each week. For example, in a week at least I need to go jogging for at least 3 session for at least 30 minutes/session. The frequency can be vary, it is up to you. I also had up other exercises such as swimming(~ 2 time/week), playing football(when I am very busy with my daily postings) and gym work out. Before you start your workout, you need to know what are you doing and what is the target, and after you finish, just question yourself back, "Does my aim accomplished?"

2. Diet. Haha, this time no more GM diet. I couldn't imagine how I have the guts in doing that..but it really works! Ok, currently I try to eat what ever meal I want BUT in MODERATE amount. Bare in mind, I have lost a total of 35kgs so badly, and why do I want to easily gain it back? So whennever I eat excessively (alhamdulillah, my appetite is superb) I will think back of all my effort that I have done it before!

3. Calorie concious. This concept I used in situation like this. When I go breakfast at a Mamak restaurant, I would rather order 'air suam' instead of 'nescafee' not because I am 'kedekut' but it is because, when I reach my hostel back, I prefer to drink coffee while studying. By doing this method, you easily save calories for 1 glass of coffee!!! I also apply this method to other condition, and for sure the conditions may be varies but the concept remain the same. You also try it!

4. Own food timetable. This one you need to be strong enough and dicipline in doing this. If let say, I wanna have 'heavy meal'- chicken fried rest for example, I would rather try my best to eat it before 7 p.m. By doing this, I might not able to eat with my friends because of different timetable, but that is kind of price that I have to pay! But, actually I always eat biscuit (1 bar of small Tiger biscuit) for my dinner for most of the day in a week.

5. Last one for this post, I always give myself a break. Sometime when you wanna go and workout, but your body say that "enough is enough" then it is the time for you to have some break. Forget about the work out for a while. That time, you can eat what ever you wish (conciously) and continue the workout when you feel that your body will recover.

Okay folks, that's it for now. I may not be the most perfect person to give this small piece of tips regarding 'healthy' lifestyle, but this are some piece of puzzles that I have done throughout the year. Healthy is not just about reducing weight, but being fit is surely a part of it!

I woke up at 7 but arrived in the hospital Melaka at 8.17a.m. As soon as I arrived, Latchna (my batchmate) called me from far saying that Dr Yashodara Rao had arrived already...Oh My God...I'm late(class at *a.m)!!! Hau Hau Hau...(of course, there's some 'extra' lecture was going on)
After all, I'm the 2nd student to arrived there~ (Peace!)
I knew that I'm not afford to do the same mistake like that ever again (I will try my best!), as it was a really huge and gross mistake!!!
I need to improve my attitude~
Cannot be late anymore~
Next class at 3.30p.m--> better move now~
Need to pause blogging for a while~

Alhamdulillah,in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul 1432H/2011M, we(the Muslim residents of MMMC boys Hostel) have managed to organize such a beautiful programme.
A documentation regarding the perception of the muslim in the Western world towards Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. The attendance was encouraging as we performed our Isyak prayers upto 5-6 safs. Brother 'Khairils', Faiz & Ammar had delivered their 'influential' speeches during the programme. Hopefully that, there will be more and more programmes like this being organized in the near future!!! InsyaAllah!!!

Me Con il Calcio

what 'Me Con il Calcio' means? haha! Simple, it means 'Me and Football' if we translate it to Italian language! As I have stayed in La Spezia, Italy I can remember some of it languange till now.

I first started to know about football when I was a kid approximately 15 years ago. That time, my uncle and cousins from my mother's side talk a lot of football. Manchester Utd, Aston Villa, Newcastle Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal are some of those names that were ringing in my ears that time!

But the interest came, when I was staying in Italy 12 years ago! In 1998 France was the host fot the Fifa World Cup! Thare are plety of lives matches and I didn't have to stay up at night to watch it (like now) as France and Italy shares the same time zone!!!

The 1998 World Cup showed France beat Italy in a penalty shoot out in the semifinal and eventually won against Brazil 3-0 in the Final thanks to goals from Zinedine Zidane's header and a late Emmanuel Petit's goal!!

As times goes on, the interest raise up to the sky!!!

Mesir a.k.a Egypt

Egypt the land of al-Anbiya'(prophets), but let us don't forget, it is also the land of 'al-Firauns'.
There are lots of history telling us the events that had occured in this famous land, beginning with the days of Prophet Musa A.S(though the Westerns call him Mosses, but I will always call him Musa Alaihissalam), to the days of As Syahid Al Imam Hassan Al Banna, currently to the downfallen regime of Husni Mubarak!!!

As a Muslim who are 'following' far from Malaysia, I've learned so many things here.

1.Money and Power will make us becoming more greedy day by day.
2.There is no guarantee that any goverment in this world will last forever, EXCEPT the Goverment Of Allah S.W.T.
3.The people's voices need to be respected in any circumstaces! Don't think that the people nowadays are stupid and can be fooled around!
4.A 'true freedom' of Egypt will InsyaAllah lead to the 'freedom' of Palestine and the other Arabian coutries.
5. Egypt a.k.a Mesir has been highlighted with many stories, controversies, dramas since the days of Prophets, now, and I expect as well in the future.

As for now, congratulations to my fellow Muslim Brother and Sister in Egypt. You deserve this victory! Barakallahualaikum Ajmaiin!!!

Alhamdulillah, me begin my weekend with 'Qiamullail' programme held in Masjid FahurRahman, Pengkalan Rama, Melaka. Though there was some unnecessary incidence;(thief-stealing,happen to my friend, and thank God it wasn't happen to me...) apart from that the programme finished succesfully~

Football, though Man U won Vs Man City, but the biggest result was Perak won 2-0 Vs Negeri 9!!! Haha, Negeri 9 have four Malaysia squad player that has won Vs Hong Kong a week ago!!! Congratz! Ipoh Mali Talak Sombong!!!

Lipid Profile~HDL? LDL?

OMG!!!What a freaking result!!! My LDL level is elevated more than the normal range!!! Oh no~ --> Athersosclerosis will sets in~ huhu~ sok sok...

In simple words,LDL is kinda 'bad' fat (lipid) that will cause oxidative stress to the capillary endothelium, cause formation of the foam cells and promoting ATHEROSCLEROSIS!!
While HDL is a good fat that will counter the roles of LDL.
High HDL is GOOD whereas high LDL is BAD!
High HDL is a good sign. Thanx God my HDL level is much higher (as one of the way to raise the HDL is by having good exercises & I always go to the gym doing my jogging, for most of the days in a week :P )

Yezza~ My fasting Blood Glucose is very well controlled!!!

My solutions here are;

1. I need to start to concentrate doing more weight lifting as it help alot it burning that damn fat!
2. Reducing high calorie intake! Say NO to FAT! FAT is BAD!

Post Friendly Match B21 vs B22 Team Talk

This evening Batch 21 Vs Batch 22 played a friendly match which ended 1-0 for B21 thanx from a superb goal from our Midfield/LB dynamo--> Hariz Zahri.

The match started with B21 playing 4-5-1 with Me in goal, back 4 was Ustad, Syoid, Abbas D'Maria, and Hariz. In Midfield, we have Fernando Torrep (RW), Syahir Obi Mikel(DM), Din'BO'singwa(Utility), Henry Rushdi (CM), Syahriman(LW). 'Lim C-Baros' playing alone upfront.

During the 1st half, B22 had lots of possession, and they control the ball more than us. But due to our patient, courage and detrminantion, we were able to absorb all kinds of their (B22) attacks. Nothing much happen in the 1st half.

Half time: score 0-0

In the second half, with few subtituitions coming in, the game changed slightly. B21 able to hold the ball much more longer, and this time Hariz Zahri played as a CM,with Abbas D'Maria pushed to LB to accommodate Asyraf D'import at CB.
The nervy moments came from their Wing wizard Khalis Amali via a free kick, that was earlier conceded by our tough tackling Syoid. With our GK(me) almost beaten-as the ball hit the bar, it was a huge relief from our side.
Later from a great interchange play between Torrep and Hariz on the right side of the field, B21 scored a marvellous goal (a classy finish) with opposition GK well beaten!
Another attack came from their striker, Karthik D'Adebayor(because he was wearing no 6) but the ball went INCHES wide. Soon after than the match ended via the Azan from Surau Desa Baru

'Sister' at Melaka GH

'Sister' is actually 'KJ' or Ketua Jururawat when we mention in Bahasa. This conversation happened between me and one of the Melaka GH sister this morning~

Me: Excuse me sister, I've asked the doctor's permission to do an ECG for my own log book, and she(a female doc) allowed me to do so.

Sister: Haiyoo, why can't you just take one of the ECG from the patient's file and just photostate it. ECG is very expansive tau! One ECG will cost around RM 25 and you just simply take it for yourself! You kindda wasting the goverment's money! And some more, the patient wanna have a good rest! Why you need to disturb them?

The Sister again added: By the way, you are from Manipal College, a private college, so I think you have to pay for it.

Then I answered: Sister, even though I am studying in Manipal College, but I am a JPA scholar! I am under contract for 10 years!

Sister: Owh, a JPA student rupanya! Nevermind, nevermind~ Staff nurse!( the sister called a staff nurse) Please help this boy (me) with his ECG stuff, later in 10 years time, he will be your specialist! Quick!

Me: Thank you, by the way, do I need to pay?

Sister: No need maa~ JPA scholar is goverment servant! Later you work with us!

4. The 1st time in a day (yesterday's evening) I burned 600 kcal in one gym session!!! Threadmill + Sliders + Cycling

5. Today I will be going to Melaka GH!!! No more Muar for a month!!! Yahoo!! At least I shall have a good amout of sleep!! haha....

Previous students said that the test was very very ( again, very very and the word 'very' goes on...) difficult...
Oklaa, while im studying i wanna share something here...

1. The most lethal mushroom in the world--> (Not Aim Dinbo,) but Amanita phylloides!

2. Mirizzi's Syndrome: Obstructive jaundice secondary to compression of the common hepatic duct by a gallstone impacted in the cystic duct, often associated with cholangitis.

3. PSG aka Paris St Germain, is a club where currently the founder of so called 'The Makalele' role playing, Claude Makalele himself! But in relation to my revision, i have made a pneumonic, PSG 2A 2C for drugs that caused obstructive jaundice-->
Prochlorperazine, Sulfonylureas, Gold, Antibiotics, Anabolic steroid, oral Contraceptive, & Chlorpromazine.

4. Budd Chiari Syndrome: Hepatic Vein Obstructionby thrombosis or tumor causing ischaemia and hepatocyte damage, presenting with liver failure or insidious cirrhosis.

5. In hepatitis B infection,
-HBsAg (surface antigen)-present from 1-6 months after exposure
-HBeAg (e antigen)- present from 1-3.5 month after acute illness [ high infectivity]
-Persistent HBsAg> 6months indicates carrier status and occurs in 5-10% of chronic infections
-Anti-HBc implies past infections
-Anti-HBs implies vacciation

6. Monosodium Glutamate aka AJINOMOTO (sometimes being used in junkfruit) if excessively consume can cause activation of CD4 T Helper Cell in the genesis of autoimmune hepatitis! So, kurangkan or delete terus AJINOMOTO in our diet!!!

7. Its been raining all day long today...also today is the Tenang By-election....

8. PSC initially i knew it for peang Shipyard Corporation, but i Medicine, it stand for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.

9. In Hepatits C infection, ( Hep C Virus is an RNA- Flavivirus: transmitted most commonly via IVDU, Sexual, contact) 80% will develop chronic carrier, 15-20% liver cirrhosis, and remaining will develop HepatoCellular Carcinoma..

Between the last time i posted, till now, many things happen, either good or bad, happy or sad...as usual, 10 things i wanna to share~

1. Nur Fariha, Nur Afiqah's sister involved in accident in Manchester, UK. Hopefully she'll recover with all the blessings from Allah...ameen..let us pray for her too...

2. I successfully ( err...) entered my 4th year...actually that 'success' word need to be corrected...I have finished Ortho, ENT, OPHTHAL,...currently medicine~

3. Chelsea FC won the double last season....FA cup and of course THE BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE!!!

4. My father went to New York USA....he was really happy with that....very2 happy...

5. My sister wanna buy a house! Yes, a HOUSE!!What???? Yess..a houselaa.!! Congraz!

6. Malaysia won the Suzuki AFF Cup for the 1st time! Hola HARIMAU MALAYA!!!

7. I played my first ever Interbatch i Melaka...Futsal Champ, and runner-up Football..i missed the football final as i went to lcct to send Afiqah to uk...maybe next time i'll play, B20 won't win the title again...haha..

8. I returned to KL to meet my parents for an average once in a month...went back to Manjung for only 3 times...

9. I bought a bicycle~ RM 350..quite a good strategy--> monthly fuel expenses reduce up to 50%. Haha...

10. Bought a set of dumbbell, gym exercise ball &exercise mate( aka tikar, sorry if spelling wrong) But I couldn't optimize the usage while i'm in current postings because i feel very exhausted and lethargic after coming back from Muar...hopefully in melaka posting, i can use it!!!

...as usual, i dun have to tell about the buzziness of my daily life-clearkig case, studying new things, etc.

1.Today, I met with an 'apek' ~60++, someone told me that, he and his sister( i thought his wife actually) were not corperative. Initially I quite scared to ask history from them, but after made myself brave enough I confront them and suprisingly they were not reluctant at all!!! The history taking went well, but i couldn't finish it, as he wanted to have some rest ( he slept, huhu...).
Pengajaran from this story- people say that, don't judge a book from its cover, and its totally true!!!

2. This quite interesting...I met with a visitor, she brought her daughter( around 3 years old kid) along with her, but the hospital staff prevent the kid from entering the ward..

Here is part of the conversation between me and the kid..

4. Iron Man 2 daa nak kuar. Sebab nie priority, so x masuk dengan plan dekat atas..hauhauhau

5. PKR kalah dalam by elction Hulu Selangor. As expected. Something need to be done. Image PKR agak tercalar bcoz of many things. Lompat parti, jd bebas, isu moral etc. So, if i wanna start talking about politics, it gonna take hell long time to finish. Better don't start it.

MIcrobes and Football

Hurm...actually I had Microb Prac tomorrow but I can't sleep till now...or in other word, don't have the desire to sleep tonight as I usually had previously...so..let me share with u guy something; If these microbes can play football, I will select them as my 1st eleven...exclusive for lock 4 microbes only...

Goalkeeper --> Trichomonas vaginalis...the reason I pick it because, T.vaginalis have 5 flagella ( 4 anterior flagella and another one is the lateral flagella, it only have the trophozoite form, or active form..NO CYST form...so the advantages are with its 4 'hand' it can save a lot of shot!!!

Right and Left Back--> I would like to choose Isospora belli and Crptosporidium parvum to play in that role. This is because, both organism they usually occur as cyst in the soil, means that they are resistant with all the attacks that are launched against them.

Centre back--> Herpes Simplex Virus(HSV) is no doubt be the best candidate for this role. It can become latent trying to replicate and when there's stimulating factor, automatically it will reactivate and march it's back 4 line.
I think that its partner will be Human Papilloma Virus. This organism can either integrate its genome in Human's DNA or the genome being episomally, hence has the suitable character of being strong and protect the goal second after the goalkeeper.

Offensive Midfielder--> I'll choose HIV as the OMF, though that it takes long time to totally infect an induvidual, but due to its effectiveness, persistent plus constantly undergoing mutation via its 'env' gene, hence it can be one of the best player to lepfrog the opponent's defence.

Defensive Midfield- Gardnerella vaginalis....actually it is a Gram Negative NON MOTILE Bacili...huhu...but, being as non motile, it can have more time to defence and will absolutely defence during the 90 minutes match!!! Credit for that!!

Winger- I'll choose Treponema pallidum. Why? Easy- it has Corkskrew motility which can have extension and flexion as part of it. As a microbes, that's somewhat we call as 'bonus' in a football field.
The other winger I'll select Burkholderia pseudomallei. Hurm..I don't know why. But one thing for sure it is a motile (Gram Negative Bacilli), which a minimum requirement to be sellected as 'attackers'

Supporting Striker(SS) &Captain--> Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Hurm, being a Gram Negative Bacili with all the virulence factor it got; adhesins, enzymes ( elastase, phospholipase and lecithinase ) and the most important is with, the addition of Pyocyanin- role to suppress all the other organism in multiple bacterial infections, can make all the other teammates bear and follow his order.

Center Forward--> I'll choose Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Why? Simple- Due to the virulence factor that it has, such as Por, Opa, RMP, LipoOligosaccharide, Pili, IgA protease, such failure of virulence factor can be well 'subtituted' with the other virulence factor. All in all, the opposition will no doubt fear against it!

Aku bukan x sokong dianjurkan sukan supremo...bersukan pon...kalau nak dikaitkan ada sebilangannya sunnah nabi...korang anjurkan, aku maen...siap skor goal lagi...naik saham sukan supremo...mane x nyer..last time aku maen jadi keeper, kali nie jadi striker...tapi nie bukan topik utama...

Aku bukan x sokong korang nak anjurkan ball....aku bukannya x sokong korang nak g ball...kalau nak g...pergilaa... xder masalah...pergi sana boleh makan makanan yang sedap lagi enak, boleh kenal2 lan...I mean, no problem with that...

Aku tau aku nie bukan orang yang penting dekat manipal...aku nie orang biase aje...(tapi atas padang lain laa..hehe)...tapi aku x sokong laa cara2 kawan2 aku berpakaian...aku x nak sebut nama...sendiri pahamlaa....dulu masa aku junior dekat manipal boleh kata hampir 99.9% kawan2 aku yang berkadpengenalan Islam berpakaian dengan SOPAN...tapi..sekarang percentage tue daa turun ...aku tau nie negara India, negara Republik, tapi dekat negara aku, MALAYSIA, negara demokrasi, aku boleh tulis dengan bebas pasal nie, sama dengan korang dengan BEBAS pakai camtu...

Aku tulis nie bukan nak hentam korang...aku tulis nie tanda aku x sokong and tanda aku berikhtiar untuk sayangkan diri aku ( supaya aku akan lebey berwaspada supaya aku, bakal bini aku, and anak2 aku x buat camtue...Ya Allah, permudahkanlah) dan aku sayangkan nur-nur Iman yang terdapat dalam diri korang sebagai umat Islam...jangan salah sangka...

REJUVENATION...Again...HAha...History???

I don't know why I like the word rejuvenate or rejuvenation so much but it some how related to me. Haha...
When I close my eyes, I still remembered the day I came to Manipal, nothing was in my mind except study. For me, football was not the the first priority. As I adjusted my life with the medical environment, I slowly involve myself with football.

Initially I played as a Goalkeeper, as at that time my batch lack of GK, and for me, it somehow kind thing that I can help my batch. After all I was a goalkeeper during my time in KTT.
I still remembered in my mind until now, the match vs Batch 17, and how the goals that I conceded, which was later being laughed by those who were 'dark hearted' outside the pitch, and I took that as an inspiration, for me to move on...

When we played our 1st Supremo Game, we beat the mighty Batch 20 in the first game, and we even never looked back, and continued to win the remaining of the game till we claim our first title during our study in Manipal. That time I was still the GK in the team, and the goals that I conceded was--> NIL.- It somehow was a message for those who laugh at me at the first place.

During our second Interbatch Tournamment, that time there were few new faces in my batch. We played with new approch in order to suit the team with the player available. That time I faced stiff competition with Bai for the number 1 spot. I could still remember the match Vs Batch 22, when Bai was sick-fever, I was a direct replacement for him. That time when we conceded a penalty, I managed to save Kartik's spot kick and eventually send my team for the Interbatch Final and later won the tournament. Again, saving the penalty somehow was kind a message for those who laughed at me at the first place.

North-South 2009. I supposed to play for the North Team. but the team were packed with MMMC star players, and the most dissapointing thing was not being called up for selection. Never mind. It was not a big deal. As I wanted so much to play the NS game, I joined the South Team and manage to play as a GK for futsal and (sub) CF for football and manage to win both of the game. I still remembered when I entered the field for Ganesha as a SUB in the NS football match, the comentator of that day, always used myself to attract people. I'm not sure whether he intentionally did that or unintentionally. But somehow I felt 'sick' with the comentator that keep on yelling about my size, being big as a CF, and people laughing at me. But again, as usual in my life, I took that sort of things to move forward and I did believe that the 'message' would soon come. The game finished with the team that I played for, manage to win 5-0.

Supremo 2009. I started the tournament as sub CF. In the 3rd game which was Vs 23, I managed to claim a place in the starting 11 and until now I couldn't believe that manage to bag 2 goals in the first half. The first was an assist from Iman, a tap in goal. And the secong was an assist from Khalis, a goal decribed from Khalis himself as a Torres-like goal.Thanks Khalis for that compliment. That game we managed to win 5-0 which was so vital and eventually send our team to the final.

Final Supremo 2009. Batch 21 vs Batch 20. The details of the game you guys can refer my previous post. 3 times in a row and history was made. But scoring in a cup FINAL for me is unbelievable. As I said just now- It somehow was a message for them who laugh at me or somebody else at the first place. I still remembered the faces of those who laughed at me in the old match Vs Batch 17, one thing that I could say here is-NEVER to that to other people. Whether you are a class rep, President of student council, President of IYA, or How skillfull YOU ARE playing football, plz remember that The Almighty GOD is The Great, and He'll always help those who is always being abused/multreated. I'm not trying to show off myself, but that is what I feel deeply in my heart, and God always give me the strength to prove them wrong!

Alhamdulillah. Thanx for my teammates, Batch 21 'The Rejuvenated Team' for giving me chances to play football with you guys. We created history in MANIPAL!!!

In Summary-
As I was playing the game as a CF, I don't have the exact detail of the game...

Batch 21 kick started the game. The first 15 minutes of the game we could see that Batch 20 attack us on and on and on again. Their midfield were solid, but Batch 21 managed to hold on thanx to the defensive line lead by Abbas, Syed, Dinbo, and Hariz( Later was sub with Faiz ) and the Goalkeeper himself, Bai (Who was very calm handling every attack launch by Batch 20)

Around the 20th minute of the game-A pass from Ustad directly to Sean-just managed a slow shot on target and well saved by Z. Sean should have done better that time. His shot is on target, credit to that but it is too low and no where near to reach the back of the net. He can either play Iman on the Left Wing but Batch 20 CB Pooh is too fast, and small mistakes would prove costly to us.
Later they launched a counter attack, started from their RB, but Bai manage to save it, but it was a costly save. Bai collide with their CF leaving the game to stop around 7 minutes ( I guess..) for him to receive treatment. Some of the BAtch 21 fan shouted asking for Sean to take the post, if anything happen to Bai. Well actually If that happen, it will further depleted the Batch 21 team as Arif is not available as a direct subtituition. Luckily that didn't happen and Bai stood back on his own feet and the game resume.

Around the 25 minutes of the game, A ball directly from BAi, who found Khalis, which he later on played Ogy on the right side of the field, manage to pass Iman, and later, Ogy send a low cross to the middle, and the ball somehow rolled to Sean and manage to 'drive' a hard, low and powerful shot- which couldn't handled by Z and GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BAtch 21-1 BAtch 20-0....SEAN with his trademark 'Allan Shearer' Celebration!!! HArizZAhri pulled Sean to the ground and all the Batch 21 celebrate!
Well for the entire 1st 25 minutes we were defending and later we opened the account 1st!!! That could ease some pressure on us....Yeah!!!
Batch 20 re started back the game, and within split second, from their right side of the field they launched an attack which that ended up with Ganesha shot, and the ball reach the back of the net.....GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BAtch 20 started to celebrate but the 'flag' was raised earlier. NO GOAL GIVEN...An 'escape' for batch 21....
Some confrontation from batch 20 players against the officials, but the situation well managed by the refree of the day, Rusyil. The game resume back for a couple of seconds and the refree blew his whistle for half time.
Half time- Batch 21-1 Batch 20-0

The second half of the game re-started by the BAtch 20. Actually in the 2nd half, Batch 20 incresed the frequency and intensity of their attack, but Batch 21 managed to hold on. There were couple of subtituition made by Batch 21- Atukz for Syed, Syerry for Sean, Khalis For Sean, and Syerry for Khalis. BAtch 20 kept attacking on and on and on again.
GAnesha and Muiz well combined upfront and always created trouble to Batch 21. But Alhamdulillah-Thank God, Bai managed to save a lot of shot directed to him and kept his clean sheet.
Sean has another chance to make it 2-0 when create the space for Ogy, which later send a high cross back to Sean but the ball was to high for Sean to head in. Such a wasteful chance to kill off the game.
In the dying minutes of the game ( I am not sure how much time given by the refree for the stoppage time, but I fely it was too long) again, Batch 21 were being attacked badly but thank for the defensive line up- this time Abbas,Atukz,FAiz,and DinbO and Bai himself. Ustad and HArizZahri well combined in the middle and also manage to nullified the attack. Khalis managed to send a hard shot to the goal but it hit the post with Z beaten already. That was the last kick of the game.

2 goals..at last I made my mark as a striker...

When I was playing as a goalkeeper, the more I saved ' shots' from the opponent, the better I am...but being as a striker, its totally a different things...the more goals I scored, the better I am. That's is one of the rule in football and it applies anywhere in this world!!!

I would like to thank to Iman Pokok for the 1st assist, and Khalis for the 2nd assist, and all my teammates that have faith in me...

Actually being a footballer, although as a part time footballer, I wanna play for the whole game but some of my teammates asked me why I didn't play the second half yesterday and here is my reason-
- To give the oppurtunity to my other teammates to play as I used to be SICK sitting on the BENCH!!!
I hope thats clear enough to explain, though it is nice to score a hatric, but all in all the team will come first before personal satisfaction!

Laxative/Purgative

Definition-
Laxatives (or purgatives) are foods, compounds, or drugs taken to induce bowel movements or to loosen the stool, most often taken to treat constipation.

Basic Concept-
1. Laxatives work to hasten the elimination of undigested remains of food in the large intestine and colon.
2. In many casses of intermittent constipation, it is best prevented by high fiber diet, adequate fluid intake, regular exercise and the heeding of nature's call.
3. If the above failed to do so, medical treatment can be an option.

Group of Laxatives

1. Bulk forming laxatives. Preparation include plant product- psyllium, methylcellulose, and synthetic fiber- polycarbophil.

Mode of action(MOA)- ( indigestible, hydrophilic colloids that) Absorb water, forming a bulky, emmolient gel that distend the colon and promote peristalsis.

2. Stool Surfactant Agents/ Softners. Preparation include Docusate ( oral, rectal ), glycerin suppository, and mineral oil

MOA- Agents soften stool materia, permitting water and lipid to penetrate.

Route of administration(ROA)- oral, rectal

Side effects(SE)- Long term ak Chronic use can impair absorpton of fat soluble vitamins-A,D,E,K

Contraindication(CI)- Severe Lipid Pneumonitis, can cause aspiration.

3. Osmotic Laxativeves
Concept- Increase in stool liqidity due to obligate increase in fecal fluid.

a.Non-absorbable Sugar or Salt
Preparation include Magnesium oxide aka milk of magnesia (commonly used), Sorbitol and Lactulose.

Most commonly used of Purgatives ( Agents that prompt bowel evacuation ) is magnesium citrate and sodium phosphate ( hyperosmolar agents)

MOA-
Sorbitol and lactulose are metabolized by the colonic bacteria, producing severe flatus and cramps
Hyperosmollar agents induce rapid movement of water into the distal small bowel and colon leads to a high volume of liquid stool followed by rapid relief of constipation

AE-
Cramps- Sorbitol and Lactulose
Intravascular volume depletion and electrolyte fluctuations- Hyperosmollar agent

CI-
Patient with hypermagnesemia-Milk of magnesia
Patient who are frail, elderly renal defect and significant cardiac disease-Hyperosmollar agents

b. Balanced Polyethylene Glycol(PEG)
Used for complete cleansing prior to GIT endoscopic procedures.

MOA- Balanced the isotonic solutions in the bowel. Solution are designed so that no significant shift of intravascular fluid or electrolyte occur. Hence it is safe for all patient.
No significant cramps or flatus reported.

4. Stimulant Laxatives

a. Anthraquinone derivatives. Prepation include aloe, senna and cascara-ocur naturally in plant.
Chronic use leads to Melanosis Coli- brown pigmentatio of colon.

b. Diphenylmethane derivatives.
Preparation include Phenolphthalein.
SE- Cardiac toxicity. Removed from the market

c. Castor Oil
MOA- It is hydrolyzed in upper intestine to ricinoleic acid, a local irritant that stimulates intestinal motility.

5. Serotonin 5-HT4 Receptor Agonist
Preparation include Tegaserod- Serotonin 5HT4 partial agonist.

Constipation...

1.I had a very severe bad constipation a couple of days ago. The conditioned get worsened as when the gas get accummulated in my stomach and failure of flatulance. Huhu...

2. Initially, I refused to use any drugs or going to see the doctor to rectify my problem as I hope that my own body can battle with it till the last drop of blood. But as time progressed, my body didn't show any sign of relief, and the situation worsened.

3. On day 4, I opened up my Pharmacology Tara Shanbhag Textbook and looked for solution. Actually I haven't learn the G.I.T-Gastrointestinal - block yet, but after having a glance on that page, I knew that the solution is Laxatives/Purgatives.

4. Due to my problem, I missed my Football game yesterday evening and my Futsal game yesterday night. Fuh...

5. I hope that by having this drug, my condition can improve!

Study Planning Discussion

A few things that I would like to revise, or re-think about my exam result...Hoho...Overall, I could say its a kind of 'OK' for me as the second block-aka 2nd Sessional Exam- were concern. If you ask me and my batchmates, we'll surely say that the exam were really damn, damn difficult!

1. I think for the upcoming exam ( 3rd and 4th block) I need to pay a little more attetion in the class, prevent 'day dreaming' and increase the level of understanding of what the lecturer is teaching. See, some of the things are very tough to understand in an hour lecture class, but, what to do.

2. May Friday Night Futsal Game. I hope that I won't consider this in my list, but, if I'm too damn busy, I have 2 options, either I cancelled the the schedule-this is highly unlikely, huhu..OR,just after finishing the game, I have get back at my desk. It is not necessary for me to study the present syllabus, maybe I can revised back the block 1 or 2 subjects for the sake of my 2nd Year MBBS Examination.

3. To increase the level of understanding, I should the Internat more frequetly as, what are described by the lecturer, some of it we can't easily understand. Google Images might help. Credit to Google!

4. Increase the frequency of Question-Answer Session not only for the upcoming blocks, but also for the previous two blocks. I had made an agreement with Arip aka 'Yeripuddin SoY!' and we can do it during our leisure time as during the weekly English Premier League game. It helps a lot in Multi True False-MTF...You bet it!!!

5. Start doing the MTF more regularly for the upcoming blocks, and the previous blocks too. Yeah I got many of them in my laptop. Better I make sure that I use it 100%.

6. As far as the essay question are concern, I think I need to look at it from day one. For me, some of the questions are keep repeating for the past 10 blocks.

7. Make sure that my body is healthy. Jogging, swimming, football...
The Arab says " al-Aql as-Salim, Fil Jism al-Salim"- Good thinking can be achieved in a healthy body!!

8. Maintain my diet programme. I bet I have to...I have managed to reduced 10 kilos in a space of 4 months and the weight is maintaining right now, that should be a good sign, but I still have around 20 kilos to go to get an optimum BMI!!! Please pray for me!!!
Actually by having an ideal weight, it can help me to gain an extra self confidence! Haha...

9. I think of using this blog as a medium to discuss the upcoming block's syllabus or to revise the previous blocks and to make my studies more enjoyable. In addition, I can also share my knowledge with those who read my blog.

10. MOm's advise- WORK HARD!!! Don't forget to call Mom and Dad minimum of a time per week. Insyallah...

12 and 12 things that I can write about...

I am sure that, it is already 12th March 2009 in Malaysia Bcoz while I'm writing here in India it is still 27minutes to go to reach that 'keramat' date...

1. When I was 12 years old, I took my UPSR with just 1 month of full preparation since I juzz came back from La Spezia, Italy.

2. Thierry Henry wear the Number 12 jersey of France...Are any one of you who don't know Thierry Henry? You bet not to...Huh..

3. A year we have 12 month...I think I'm not suppose to write all of it- but you can complete it by sending me 'comment'.

4. I only have 12 month time left to complete my course in INDIA- INSYAALLAH!!!

5. Yesterday, Bayern Munich advanced to the Quarter Final Champions League 2008/09 by margin of 12 goals on aggregate. Poor Sporting Lisbon, they just manage to score only a consolation goal. That was a tournament record!!!

6. My Sister's Birthday will be at 12th of June- but still long way to go...lalalalalala....

7. I took my SPM with 12 Subjects, by just manage to get lack of an A of all the 12...huhu...

8. Today, 12 of March, my BIG brother will wake up early ( I hope so dude!- )and with all my prayers, and all the confidence inside you-, you'll walk straight to the STAR Hall and take your Result bravely! May Al-Mighty God be with YOU!

9. We just Celebrate the Maulidurrasul-'12 RabiulAwal'. As far as I'm concern, after reading the SS al Fadhil Dr MAZA Minda Tajdid, It's quite unclear whether it is exactly the date Our Holy Prophet, Nabi Muhammad S.A.W was born. Here are the 10 most exciting thing I have done in India since coming here for 1 and half years...Check it out...

1.Indian Tour- Covered North West and South West of India- that include places such as Mumbai, Jaipur, Udaipur, Manali, Shimla, Delhi, Kerala, Chennai...and many more( that's for sure..hehe...)

2. 2 times MMMC Football Champion: Supremo 2008, played as keeper, didn't concede a single goal and Interbatch 2008 played both as goal keeper-save a penalty- and a striker

3. Passed all 3 subjects of my 1st year MBBS- actually, I was afraid of my Biochemistry paper. I thought I screwed it. But at the end of the day the final result was tripple Ps

4. Bought an Enfield bike- 'The Legend'- Both of the local Enfield Mechanics claim that they invented the 1975 enfield bike. But, who cares!!! The thing is ,it is ME who RIDE it!Muahaha!!!!!

5. Rent a house here in Manipal. My address is No 3, Sai Krippa( Marshmellow ) Apartment, Opposite Trade Centaur, Syndicate Circle, Junction 1st stage Ananth Nagar, Manipal, 576104 Karnataka, India. I stayed with Naufal. We hire a cooker/chef to cook our meal ( eventually 14 of my friends eat here also-thats really amazing). We also hire a 'aka'-NOT Also Known As- to clean our house.

6. Bike riding to Kundapura. Padey, Harizahri, Ripe and me went to Kundapur after the block 1 2nd year examination. I was very exhausted that time but a very special chicken meal there compensated everything

7. Managed reduce 10 kilos of my weight. Wow, just imagine the 10 kilos rice?? I never imagine that I could afford to do that...Now, I'm aiming to reduce anothe 10 kilos...Please do pray for my success.

8. Spent my time with my FAMILY. They came here during December last year via Tirchirapalli. We went to Goa by a Chevrolet MPV. I bought a GOA FC jersy there. In Manipal, I brought them to the End Point, MAHE building, my house and many more.

9. Attended UTSAF, a local Indian Cultural Festival, organised by MAHE. Actually, I thougt this Festival was nothing, but after gave it a try, this cultural festival was fantastic. I saw various of Indian Cultural Dance from various of regions in one night!! The Singh's Dance are not the sama as Malayali. Seriously, it was awesome.

10. My routine daily life. I just love my LIFE here. When I wake up early in the morning, after prayers-depends either at mosque or in my room, IF I have time, I'll go jogging at the End Point. Later I have my breakfast-NO NASI LEMAK, NO ROTI CANAI, NO TEH TARIK- Just Cereals which I can buy for an average of 10rupees per day!
Then around 8.50a.m, I start my 350 cc 'The Legend' Enfield Bike to go to the college. When I was a kid, I really wanted to have a big bike to go to the college-Seem to be that my dream turns to REALITY!!! Yezzaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!
During lunch break, as I arrive back at my house, my meal is well prepared by my cook, Vincent. I don't have to do anything, just eat my meal!!! Hahaha...
After class finish at 4 or 5 p.m, I spend my time at the End Point, playing football with my collegues. It will be a complete day if i manage to score goal/s...addition point for a spectacular ones!!
At night, I usually go to the MAHE Library. A very big, huge, massive library. I usually study with Cik Afiqah. As I was informed, The Library is one of the biggest in Asia, if not the biggest.
Finally, after the day is almost finish, I have a good bed in a good room to sleep.
I just love my life here.....

Ops Diet

I started my -what is so called " Ops Diet Program " 2 weeks ago and thanx God, It works!!! Yah00!!!. In 2 weeks time I managed to reduce 3.7 kilogram.What a marked achievement.
Here there some tips for those who want to share:

1. I reduced my Carbohydrate intake as maximum as possible. Especially rice,bread.

2. I Increase my protein intake in my meal. Chicken, Fish are good sources of protein. But I have to make sure that the chicken is purely chicken without eating its fat, although it is very tasty.

3. Double/Tripple the vegetables intake. Fibers can make us easily achive fullness ( I am not sure my grammar right or wrong, but what i mean is 'kita senang kenyang').

4. Instead of having 3 grand meals per day, I try to have 5-6 meals per day. Hahahaha. It sound ridiculous but what I mean is 5-6 SMALL meals. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are compulsory. Between those meals only moderate glucose fruits is allowed ( Banana can be excluded ).

Actually our body need energy to digest and process the food. By increase the amount of quality meals per day, our body tend to do more works, the body metabolism will increase and hence burn the fat easily.

If we take high carb source, the carb that is not used will be stored as fat.
Instead, protein are complex structure, consist of many bonds and linkage. To digest protein meal, lots of energy reguired. And from where the energy come from? One of the sources is our own fat storage.

5. If I have time,I just browse the Internet and read articel regarding DIET as it can inspire me a lot.

6. If I feel hungry, I will tend to do 2 things, either drink plain water, or eat fruit. Actually feeling hungry is a good sign for me as more fat is burned!!!

7. Say no to canned drink, chocolates, sandwiches and all the other snacks.

8. One thing that I used to do is to eat the white egg without consuming the yellow one. White egg has high protein availability, and further explaination I have described above.

9. I go for sport as maximum as I can. Football, Jogging, Swimming.

10. Increase Metabolism + Decrease Carb = Decrease weight!!!!

Note; I'm doing this not to show off or anything related to it. Basically I wanted to inspire myself as long as I can, and achive maximum decrease of my weight. When I was small till now, I haven't achive optimum BMR., and I think, now is the best time to move on!!!

Mumbai Under Attacked!!!!

Again, the terrorist had launched an attack which cause lots of problems to the entire world. This time the attack took place in Mumbai. As a student studying in India I felt very frusrated as it not the first time this type of incident happen during my studies here. From the rumours that I heard, this high-profile attack was masterminded by one of the group located in South India. But the Indian goverment had link this attack with groups from neighbouring countries. A question rise here, who is the culprit behind this incident??--> Only God know.
But one thing for sure,for those who launched this kind of attack," Hey! won't be forgiven for life!!!"

3. Note: ( Below ) 10 Months back...My friend and I had been to that place 10 months back. That time we just walked nearby the hotel to reach the Gateway of India. BUt now, things change...Huhu...

4. My father phone me just now. He had asked me about the security in India right now. As he had planned a visit in Manipal in February, this kind of incidence concerned him a lot. I told my mother to see the 'trend' of the attack right now-how many more, places of attack, etc- from
now on till February.

5. The damage that they had done were totally unhuman being..Hopefully everything will go back to normal with all the culprits being sentenced.

I am very confidenct in so called THE REJUVENATED TEAM

1. I was in Blue Jersey without any number- Yeah Goal Keeper!!...This is the only picture I have during this match. Tuepon cilok dr blog Khalis...

2. I could not believe I saved a penalty during that match... The fans chanted my name after making the save- "Saper yang save? Sean!!!"3x- & Being applauds during the post match was one of the memorable moment in my life...it could not be described with any words, but for my teammates- Thanx because always have faith in me!!! ( Terharu sampai nak nangis!! )

3. I heard that the penalty taker was hyper-over confident and hyper-underestimating us as THE REJUVENATED TEAM.
" You have cross the line!!"
Hey pal, you made a big mistake, I'm writing here not to show off, but if you read this, never ever in football, you underestimating your opponent.

4. Why I called my team THE REJUVENATED TEAM? Actually the core this team was not found or formed here in Manipal, but it had already exist during my studies in KTT-MYself, Khalis, Ustad, Arip, Faiz, Din, Syed, Ogy . When we came here, we mixed up with the new lads- Iman, Nooh, Atuk, Hezry, Hadi, Arem. This team played vs Batch 17 and we lost 1-2 ( I don't know why the Batch 17 cancel the 1st match between us though at that time no other people use the field).
I thinked one the 2nd goal conceded was due to my fault. Then we played a friendly match vs Batch 18 and we lost 0-2. I stormed out of the field and never went back to the field for almost 5 months. I did intensive fitness-swimming every day rather going to the field. To make thing complicated, at one point I decided to hang up my gloves. During my absence, the team had try many ways to fill up the gap left by me. But all the tactics was useless. After hardly thinking, I decided to make a U-turn and join the team back.
In Supremo 2008, with only 4 days of training, I managed to keep all clean sheets during my 3 matches Supremo Debut. I didn't play the last match because I was admitted to the hospital as a result of 'pharyngotonsilitis'. We managed to win all 4 matches and was crowned The Supremo Champion 2008.
Dinbo, our intelligent right back said that, "After all the hurdles we faced together, and go till this far, this is a 'Rejuvenated Team'." And that was the 1st football title we managed to achieve together. And that also was the reason The Rejuvenated Team got its name.

5. Sequence that lead to penalty:
During the 3rd quarter of the second half--> The opposition attack through my right side--> There are 2 of our players involved: No 15 and No 13 with one of the opponent player--> My teammates wanted to clear the ball,BUT--> Plz correct me if I am wrong, I didn't see a 100% sure of any tackles involved, but out of sudden the opponent player felt down--> Penalty said the refferee.

6. Before the penalty:
I went to discuss with our Captain Marvel which way to go. Capten Khalis said, " Go and dive to your left, the same spot that Milakh scored." I heard that their penalty kicker was very arrogants, saying that he would score and finished off this game. Then I tried to calm myself and prayed a lot to God asking for His Bless.

7. During the penalty:
I could see the opponent as it was very dark plus the light was not sufficient. When the refferee blew his whistle, I quickly dived to my left side and luckily-ALHAMDULILLAH- the ball went to my left side and hit my face and someone cleared for a corner. IT WAS A SAVED!!!! All my teammates ran towards me and we were back into the game. The fans chanted my name!! What a moment!

8.Note my gloves that I used during the match below.- It was the same glove I used for the previous tournament: Supremo. Actually the glove was 'koyak' and I managed to sew it just before the game. Thanx to Nad for her needle and thread.

9. My training ball inside my house. Bought it from a-Ikhsan SERI MANJUNG.

10. Actually, after saving the penalty, I didn't deserve the credit personally. It was all due to the my teammates performances. Plus I think it is too early for us to be defeated, and It shouldn't happen too easily. As for conclusion, I HAVE THE FAITH WITH THIS SO CALLED REJUVENATED TEAM.

Mr Vincent Left The Instituition

Farewell...

Its been a long time that I had not posting anything in this blog. Actually I was busy doing many important things that can be subdivided into studies ( SDL,PBL,IL, Assignments, Journal Reports ) and non studies matter ( My inaugural Diet Programme, Football Training, Iqra ). Actualy in this post, I would like to share with u guys regarding my former mentor, Dr Vincent Roriguez who is now teaching in AIMST Kedah.

When I entered my second year, i hardly have the oppurtunity to meet him because i'm adjusting with my work loads though at that particular time he was still around the ICHS building. But during my second week of my second year academic calender, I heard some rumors stating that he would leave the instituition. I tried to meet him but it was useless. Neither me nor him had the oppurtunity to meet with each other.

But at last, my 'menti' mates manage to organize a small farewell party for him, and that was the last time I met him. I asked him the reason with his supprised decision. He told me that The Anatomy Head Of Department, Mr S.N Somayaji had recommended him to have a taste of experience of working abroad. He also mentioned that the former MAHE rules allowed their lecturers to take leaves and working abroad, but now the rules seem to be no longer exists.

As for tribute to him, he was a nice guy, during his time with us. He inspired me alot during my 1st year University MBBS Examination. It was very sad to leave him, but that'life, and life must always keep moving on. So good luck and all the best for you sir in your future, and do not forget us here!!!

MY First Week In 2nd Year MBBS...

First of all Alhamdulillah...I've get through my 1st year MBBS examination...One of my hurdles to become a doctor is over...there will be plenty more to come, that's for sure...Speaking about hurdles, either we realized or not, the biggest hurdle is not the examination...can you guys believe that the biggest hurdle, not just in this course but in our daily life is ourselves!...HUrm..sometimes, we find ourselves too lazy to study, playing games more than study, computer, sleep, lack of ibadah, blah2 and so on...

10 most valuable things I have done in my first week, 2nd year MBBS:

1. Attending the first class of the year in Interact Building-To have a general view and introductio what will happen in this second year.

2. Buying 2nd year books at Victoria Book Stores. Thanx to Cik Afiqah Morshidi Batch 20 for helping me to select all the important books.

3. Taking back 'The Legend' from Rasyid. I really satisfied with the appearance and performance.

4. Renew my swimming pass and had a couple of swimming sessions.

5. Attending biopsy. 2 biopsies in one shot. Not too bad for a debutant.

6. Finish my SDL Microbiology.

7. Malam Ramah Mesra organized by Batch 19 followed by England Vs Kazakhtan World Cup Qualifier match at DinB0's house. Thanx a lot abg2 and kakak2 19 and Yenfaldinho for the snacks.

8. Football Match Friendly against KMC student. We won by a controversial 1-0. Happy to keep a clean sheet. We tried to play with our new signings, Ripe and Haris. New formation as well. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the previous game plan, from our previous games were much more better than this one. Chill!

9. MP Park open house. First time I saw Syazrin ' bertungkus lumus'. Thanx for Tuan2 and Puan2 Rumah especially to Noba.

10. Spend some of my time with Cik Afiqah. Hehe.

It started when I was 11 years of age...yeah when I was in Italy...my friends there asked me to stand in between the two post..which means --> Become a goalkeeper laa...when i had free time..( usually i had..hoho biasaklaa budak2 mestilaa banyak mase) I played with the Italians...a i kept playing with them, they thought me how to catch the ball, how to make saves, and all the basic aspect of becoming a goalkeeper...but i knew that for a 11 years old kid, im not that GOOD...( yalaa..main biasaq2 ajer)...

Perak-SMKASAS

so when i entered my secondary school ( of coz dekat malaysia sebab dah balik daa time tue..aug 1998 i went back to malaysia)...I played my first ever major tournament..my squad consist of all the form 1 students that time...if im not mistaken, scorpio city is the team. I gave the name.hoho...I managed to play a single game as a Goalkeeper...and on that match, as usual for form 1 student, we lost...and i conceded 2 goals ( kalo aku tak silap laa) but i kept fine goalkeeping displays..not bad for a debutant...but...to make things easy...i thought that at that particular time...i don want to further in football because there are lots of good lads in the school. Many good goalkeeper also. I just focussed on studies..But one moment that i can't forget until now is, i've asked my friend , who is also a goalkeeper to share some of his goalkeepingknowledge with me. That time i was in form 2. His name is Khairul Adli aka KADOL. ( Aku tak taulaa kalu orang panggil hang kadol lagi, tapi kadol...Thanx very Much!)...

KISAS

Generally most of my friends will remember me as a member of the college rugby team..yeah, i was the number 1 in the squad. For those who played/s rugby will know what number 1 means. But i do have some memories of becoming a goalkeeper...It started when we was form 4...Hilfi and the gangz organized a tournament for the form 4 students base on the state system-(cozz the guyz only are within the range of 100 ++ students)...So i can say that this is my second fotball tournament in mylife...as expected, i was given the chance of becoming the skipper of my team...our team that time is known as Seladang or better known as Perak 2. Why we were called Perak 2 is because we all from Perak State and with full of respect to all my team members, the players in my team can be considered as second-tier as compared as Perak 1 (the other team). If im not mistaken during the draw was made, we were supposed to be in a group without the team of Selangor 1. The group together of Selangor 1 consist of Perak 1, Selangor 1,Negeri Sembilan-Melaka and Selangor 2. But due to complicated matters, Perak 2 was swapped with Perak 1 in order to make sure that Perak 1 can go further in latter stages. Never mind. We didn't have the power to change things around. Our first match was Perak 2 Vs Selangor 2. Frankly, Selangor 2 was a better team. But during that match, I juz kept fine goalkeeping routine to make sure the ball didn't roll into the back of my net...Thanx God, during that day, a stoppage time goal from Faqih Puzi ( my SMKASAS old friend) seperate the 2 side. Perak2 beat Selangor2 with goal margin of 1- nil. Our next game was schedule to be versus Selangor 1. Selangor 1 consist lots of school players...one of them that I could remember until now is Ikram Abd Hakim- 2004 Kisas Athlete Of the Year -Hurm...I was nervous at that particular time...It was just like a match like fully strength Manchester United Vs Stoke City..They as Man U and surely us as the Stoke City...At that moment I couldn't predict what is the scoreline. But for surely it was an uphill task. Mission imppossible actually...At the end of the day, I conceded 8 goals and Perak1 didn't score even a single goal...I told u already. They were much better in all aspects...defends, attacks...everything...It just like comparing a brand new Mercedez Benz and an old Kancil car...hurm...my team was down...At that moment I could feel the unjustice of swapping our team with Perak1...But what to do...Juz could wish them well..( They:Perak1 reached the Final but eventually lost against Selangor1)...The last match was against Negeri Sembilan-Melaka...to make things easier, we lost that match 1-2...our goal scored by Ahmad Faiq Mukhtar with a lovely curling ball ( although that time he didn't recover from knee injury)...but to make things worst...i conceded a terrible goal! Hilmi Murtadza score from the middle of the field like the Xabi Alonso long range effort...at that time I tried to catch that ball, but without wearing any gloves, and lack of match fittness,to ball tht i was going to catch slip and rolled into the back of the net. The 2nd goal was a superb finish from him...I was very frusrated...All in all,Perak2 was out of the competition...we managed to secure only 1 points in 3 match. To make things worst, when Selangor2 Vs Selangor1, the lost with a lesser margin thanx to 'pre-match conversation' between them...Haha...those were all of our young days...Please don't get it wrong, i didn't 'sakit hati' or whatever related to it, it is juz 'a piece of my mind'...Hahahahahaha....

Actually, for the local South Indian People, South Indian Movies are as hot as the Hindi Movies, this I have observed during my South India Trip. Hurm.....Suprisingly, there are no Hindi Movies on the advertisement board!!! If the Hindi Movie Industry is known as Bollywood, what about the Tamil and Malayalam Movies?? -Check it out...

Why I choose ' The Legend'? Simple ..because it is one of the oldest bike in Manipal...As a matter of fact, it is older than me....wakakakaka..seriously, although it is 33 years old, but it still tough, robust, smooth as always bring me to my college...Ashvin, one of my senior in batch 18 ( Yeah, he flew back to Malaysia already) told me that, to ride a big bike, you need to 'feel' it.....So..are you ready to 'feel' it???

Actually, there are lots of things in my mind which I would like to post them all...but I can't afford to because I can't manage to it in one shot. Huh...Technically, I am new with this/myblog but basically I knew what 'BLOGs' is all about.What it mean. The passion of the 'BLOG'.
